Dollar oysters. An oyster lover's favorite passtime second to American football. The chef chooses a different oyster everyday from their vast oyster menu to feature as their dollar oyster for the day. We had the Point Reyes for happy hour. They are a little more salty/briny and have a fresh clean ocean kick towards the end of it... they call it mineral but I feel like I can taste the freshness of the ocean. I especially flip out when they feature the Kumamoto oysters for a dollar! If you love fresh oysters, want save a few bucks, n still have the option of variety in case you wanted to try other types of oysters Waterbar is the place to be on any given day. Their outdoor patio on a sunny day makes the long wait for a table painful in the sun on the weekends. They do serve drinks while you are in line so go ahead and bond with your friends as you sip n wait. It's first come first serve basis. We love to go on weekdays before 2pm to enjoy some oysters, bubbly, and sun without the wait. Keep an eye out for the different oysters we will taste and post in the future. For description of their oysters and their flavors go check out their menu at www.waterbarsf.com.

Point Reyes Oyster for those who love it briny.
